The HDE-1 Hard Drive Eraser utilizes two powerful
electromagnets facing each other to generate 4,500 gauss alternating magnetic
field to bulk erase or de-magnetize any magnetic media with high coercivity. The
HDE-1 is specifically set to erase a computer hard drive with metal particle
formats. A computer hard drive is sandwiched between the electromagnets and its
all information is erased by the strong magnetic field. Hard drives may not be
reusable after erased, because all factory-prerecorded data is erased as well.
